Code of Conduct
Effective date: March 30, 2026. Last updated: March 30, 2026.
What We Expect
Thronestead is competitive by design and collaborative by culture. Every player, alliance leader, moderator, creator, and staff member is expected to act with respect, integrity, and accountability. In short:
- Compete hard but play fair. Avoid abusive or manipulative behavior.
- Report exploits and safety concerns promptly instead of weaponizing them.
- Treat alliance members, opponents, moderators, and support agents with respect.
- Use reporting tools honestly and provide accurate evidence.
1. Respect and Anti-Harassment
Harassment is prohibited. This includes slurs, hateful conduct, targeted intimidation, stalking, dogpiling, and threats. Abuse directed at protected characteristics is treated as high-severity misconduct and may result in immediate account restrictions.
2. Fair Play
Cheating, automation, exploit chaining, unauthorized scripts, account boosting, match manipulation, and client tampering are all prohibited. If you discover an exploit, report it through support rather than using it for advantage.
3. Identity and Fraud
Impersonating staff, moderators, partner creators, or other players is prohibited. Credential theft, scam activity, and social engineering are severe violations that may result in permanent account sanctions.
4. Privacy
Doxxing, non-consensual sharing of personal data, blackmail, and off-platform harassment coordination are prohibited. Violations of player privacy may trigger immediate suspension.
5. Illegal and Harmful Content
Content involving sexual exploitation, extremist promotion, malware distribution, trafficking, or other unlawful activity is prohibited. Harmful content will be removed and may be reported to law enforcement.
6. Alliance Leadership
Leaders and officers must manage roles, treasury access, and membership fairly. Coercive recruitment, discriminatory exclusions, retaliatory removals, and treasury extortion are violations that can lead to role removal and account penalties.
7. Reporting Misconduct
Use in-game reporting tools and support channels for policy concerns. Include timestamps, replay identifiers, screenshots, or other relevant context when possible. Knowingly false or bad-faith reports may themselves trigger moderation action.
8. How We Investigate
Moderation decisions draw on automated signals, report history, direct evidence, and manual review. During active investigations, accounts may receive temporary restrictions to protect player safety and platform integrity.
9. Enforcement
Consequences range from warnings and chat limits through content removal, progression rollback, temporary suspension, alliance role revocation, and permanent bans. High-severity safety, fraud, and exploit violations can bypass intermediate steps.
10. Appeals
You may submit one primary appeal per enforcement action through support. Appeals should include new evidence or missing context. Repetitive abusive appeals or fabricated evidence may be closed without further review.
11. Off-Platform Behavior
Conduct outside the game can lead to in-service action when it creates credible threats to player safety, event integrity, or official community spaces connected to Thronestead.
12. Staff and Creator Safety
Harassment, threats, bribery attempts, or doxxing targeting moderators, support agents, volunteers, or official creators is prohibited and may be escalated to legal authorities.
13. Events and Tournaments
Official tournaments, seasonal ladders, and special events may enforce stricter conduct and anti-cheat standards. Event-specific rules supplement this Code for the duration of each event.
14. Cooperation and Evidence
Players should cooperate with legitimate review requests. Intentionally destroying, falsifying, or tampering with evidence may increase enforcement severity and reduce appeal eligibility.
15. Policy Updates
This Code may be revised to address new abuse patterns, legal requirements, and safety practices. Material updates are announced in legal surfaces and release notes when practicable.
16. Contact
For conduct and safety questions, submit a request through Contact Support using the "Conduct / Community Safety" category. Additional policies are available in the Legal Hub.
17. Related Policies
This Code operates alongside the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where policies overlap, the stricter safety or legal requirement applies. Emergency protections may be enforced before full case adjudication.
18. Reinstatement
In eligible cases, moderators may require corrective actions before restoring full access. These can include acknowledging the violation, completing safety guidance, or accepting a conditional probationary period.
