1. Agreement and Scope

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding legal agreement between you and Thronestead governing access to game clients, websites, support systems, and official communications (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and the legal policies referenced in the Legal Hub.

2. Eligibility and Registration

You must meet the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction and provide accurate registration information. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf where required.

3. Account Security and Identity Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity under your credentials. Keep login information confidential, use strong authentication controls where available, and notify support immediately if you suspect account compromise, unauthorized transactions, or profile tampering.

4. Limited, Revocable License

Subject to compliance with these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for non-commercial entertainment. No ownership rights in software, assets, or virtual content are transferred.

5. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You may not: cheat or bot; exploit bugs for unfair gain; distribute malware; phish credentials; impersonate staff; manipulate ranking systems through collusion; or interfere with game integrity, API stability, or service security. Violations may trigger immediate enforcement actions.

6. Alliance Governance and Leadership Accountability

Alliance leadership tools (roles, treasury permissions, recruit settings, diplomatic controls) must be used in good faith. Extortion, discriminatory gatekeeping, coercive removals, retaliatory sanctions, or deceptive treasury practices may result in role restrictions, account penalties, or asset remediation.

7. Virtual Content, Economy, and Balance Controls

Virtual items, currencies, boosts, and progression artifacts are licensed digital entitlements with no cash redemption value unless explicitly required by law. We may rebalance costs, rewards, timers, and rates to preserve long-term economy health and competitive fairness.

8. Payments, Billing, Taxes, and Refund Handling

Purchases are processed by listed storefront/payment providers. Final price may include taxes, regional fees, and currency conversion. Refund rights are determined by local law and processor policy. Fraud, chargeback abuse, or payment manipulation may lead to purchase restrictions.

9. User Content and Communications License

You retain rights to lawful content you create, but grant Thronestead a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, process, display, transmit, adapt, and distribute that content for operating and improving the Services, including safety review and moderation workflows.

10. Intellectual Property Ownership

All game systems, text, code, graphics, music, interfaces, marks, and lore are owned by Thronestead or licensors and protected by applicable law. Unauthorized copying, resale, scraping, derivative commercial use, or removal of proprietary notices is prohibited.

11. Moderation, Investigations, and Enforcement

We may investigate reports, remove content, roll back abuse-derived gains, limit features, suspend accounts, or terminate access based on severity and risk. Emergency actions may occur without advance notice when needed to protect platform integrity, safety, or legal compliance.

12. Service Changes, Maintenance, and Availability

The Services evolve continuously. We may patch gameplay systems, migrate infrastructure, deprecate features, or adjust UI flows. Planned and emergency maintenance may interrupt availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or universal device compatibility.

13. Beta, Experimental, and Preview Features

Some features are released as alpha/beta/preview and may be incomplete, unstable, or removed without notice. Experimental features are provided for testing and feedback; progression associated with them may be reset or modified during iteration.

14. Warranty Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thronestead and affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, business interruption, data loss, or loss of virtual items.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Thronestead and associated personnel from claims, liabilities, and costs arising from your misuse of the Services, breach of these Terms, or violation of law or third-party rights.

17. Governing Law, Arbitration, and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the law indicated in your account legal notice. Where enforceable, disputes are resolved by individual binding arbitration. Class, consolidated, and representative claims are waived to the extent permitted by applicable law.

18. Suspension, Termination, and Survival

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for policy violations, fraud risk, legal obligations, security concerns, or sustained inactivity. Sections intended to survive (including billing, IP, liability, and dispute terms) remain in effect.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms in response to legal, operational, and product changes. Material revisions are announced in-product, by website notice, or by account communication where required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

21. Export Controls and Sanctions

You may not access the Services where prohibited by export controls, sanctions, or local law. You represent that you are not on a denied-party list and are not accessing from a restricted jurisdiction where service delivery is prohibited.

22. General Provisions

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. These Terms and referenced policies represent the entire agreement for your use of the Services.

23. Account Deletion and Data Handling

When you request account deletion, access is disabled and deletion workflows begin subject to legal retention, fraud prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations. Some records may be retained in restricted archives where required by law.

Jurisdiction-Specific Addenda

Where consumer protection statutes require different cancellation rights, disclosure timing, or dispute channels, those mandatory local terms control for users in those jurisdictions to the minimum extent required by law.
