Code of Conduct
Effective date: March 30, 2026. Last updated: March 30, 2026.
1. Community Values
Thronestead is competitive by design and collaborative by culture. Every player, alliance, moderator, creator, and staff member is expected to act with respect, integrity, and accountability in official spaces.
Expected Player Standards
- Compete hard, communicate clearly, and avoid abusive or manipulative behavior.
- Report exploit paths and safety concerns promptly rather than weaponizing them.
- Respect alliance members, opponents, moderators, and support agents at all times.
- Use reporting systems in good faith with accurate evidence.
2. Respect and Anti-Harassment
Harassment is prohibited, including slurs, hateful conduct, targeted intimidation, stalking, dogpiling, or threats. Abuse targeting protected characteristics is treated as high-severity misconduct and may result in immediate restrictions.
3. Fair Play and Competitive Integrity
Cheating, automation, exploit chaining, unauthorized scripts, account boosting, match manipulation, and client tampering are prohibited. Players discovering exploit paths must report them promptly instead of leveraging them for advantage.
4. Identity, Impersonation, and Fraud
Impersonating staff, moderators, partner creators, or other players is prohibited. Credential theft, scam activity, and deceptive social engineering attempts are severe violations and may result in permanent account sanctions.
5. Privacy and Personal Information
Doxxing, non-consensual sharing of personal data, blackmail, and off-platform harassment coordination are prohibited. Protecting user privacy is a core safety expectation and violations may trigger immediate suspension.
6. Illegal or Harmful Content
Content involving sexual exploitation, extremist promotion, malware, trafficking, or other unlawful activity is prohibited. We remove harmful content and may report relevant matters to law enforcement where required.
7. Alliance Leadership Conduct
Leaders and officers must administer roles, treasury access, and membership actions fairly. Coercive recruitment, discriminatory exclusions, retaliatory removals, or treasury extortion are violations that may lead to role removal and account penalties.
8. Reporting Misconduct
Use in-client reporting and support channels for policy concerns. Include timestamps, replay identifiers, screenshots, or relevant context when possible. Bad-faith or knowingly false reporting can also trigger moderation action.
9. Investigation Model
Moderation decisions may rely on automated signals, report history, direct evidence, and manual review. During active investigations, accounts may receive temporary restrictions to protect player safety or platform integrity.
10. Enforcement Ladder
Enforcement may include warnings, chat limits, content removal, progression rollback, temporary suspension, alliance role revocation, or permanent bans. High-severity safety, fraud, and exploit abuse can bypass intermediate steps.
11. Appeals and Review
One primary appeal may be submitted per action through support channels. Appeals should include new evidence or missing context. Repetitive abusive appeals, or manipulated evidence, may be closed without further review.
12. Off-Platform Behavior with In-Service Impact
Off-platform conduct can trigger in-service action where it creates credible threats to player safety, event integrity, or official community spaces connected to Thronestead participation.
13. Staff, Volunteer, and Creator Safety
Harassment, threats, bribery attempts, or doxxing targeting moderators, support agents, volunteers, or official creator partners are prohibited and may be escalated to legal authorities when warranted.
14. Event and Tournament Addenda
Official tournaments, seasonal ladders, and special events may enforce stricter conduct and anti-cheat standards. Event addenda supplement this Code and apply for the duration of those events.
15. Cooperation and Evidence Integrity
Users should cooperate with legitimate review requests. Intentionally deleting, falsifying, or tampering with evidence may increase enforcement severity and reduce appeal eligibility.
16. Policy Updates
We may revise this Code to address emerging abuse patterns, legal requirements, and safety best practices. Material updates are announced in legal surfaces and release notes when practicable.
17. Contact
For conduct and safety questions, submit a request through Contact Support using "Conduct / Community Safety." Additional legal and policy documents are available in the Legal Hub.
18. Policy Interactions
This Code operates together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where policies overlap, the stricter safety or legal requirement applies, and emergency protections may be enforced before full case adjudication.
19. Restorative Actions and Reinstatement
For eligible cases, moderators may require corrective actions before restoring full access, including acknowledgement of policy violations, completion of safety guidance, or acceptance of conditional probationary periods.
